Revues on the Air
Sir,- —Upon a few occasions the Broadcasting Board has departed from the usual programmes by giving listeners something “extra special.” Last Sunday night it. was the Dame Sybil Thorndike Company on relay from Auckland, and a very fine ' performance it was too, but there is a big listening-in audience right through New Zealand who would enjoy a good musical comedy or revue every bit as much.
At the present time we have a first-class revue company performing in New Zealand, and for country listeners particularly ft would be a very real treat if the Board could arrange for a broadcast of this show. —I am, etc., COUNTRY LISTENER. Foxton, February 16.
