MAN’S BODY FOUND

Mutilated by Explosion

POLICE MAKING INQUIRIES

By Telegraph.—Press Association

Hastings, Feb. 3.

The badly-mutilated body of John.Teffares, aged 58, married, was found late on Thursday night at Greenmeadows, death being the result of an explosion. The body was practically dismembered. Mr. .Teffares intended to split some posts, but whether he had detonators in his possession at the time of the fatality is not definitely known. When he left home he had no explosives with him. The circumstances, however, show that ho came to his end through the discharge of some explosive. An inquest was opened to-day and adjourned to enable the police to make further inquiries.
