It ds expected that the increase in the rate * of exchange will ,I ? VC marked effect on the cost of building materials. Already prices for many imported lines are up, and some a full 15 per eent., though other materials, particularly those made in New Zealand, have not yet advanced. Homeowners who are planning additions and alterations should not delay if they wish to take advantage of the former price levels.
