DIED FROM INJURIES

Admitted Fault Was His PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST Having told two people, including the cyclist with whom he had collided, that the accident was his own fault, Walter Alfred Sines, a groundsman at Kilblrnie Reserve, died in Wellington Hospital on Thursday last from head injuries and infections resulting from an accident which occurred early on the preceding Monday morning at the intersection of Moxham Avenue and Wellington Road. The coroner, Mr. IT. A. Gilbertson, inquiring yesterday into the circumstances of the accident and Mr. Sines’s death, attached no blame to the cyclist, Mr. John Mackley. He commented upon the unfortunate fact that if Mr. Sines had not been previously injured in the nose death might not have resulted from the Injuries received last week. Mr. Sines was on his way to work when the’ accident happened. He was struck by Mr. Mackley’s shoulder, and when be fell down suffered a broken nose, from which he bled copiously. He was taken to hospital, but a septic condition set in from the legacy of a previous nose injury, and his condition grew worse, resulting in death. He leaves a widow and four children.
