EPIC OF COAL MINING

“T>LACK Diamonds,” one of 8.1.P.’s latest releases, has been termed, and rightly so. an epic of British coal mining, depicting as it does the risk.;, hardships, pleasure, and bravery of the miners under all sorts of conditions. Produced by Charles Hamner, who has himself worked in a mine since he was 12-J years of age, the realism and sincerity of “Black Diamonds" bring home to flimgoers the perils and hardships of a miner's life. The film enjoyed an outstanding success at the Regal Cinema recently, where it was viewed by H.R.H. the Duke of York.
