Peace Among Nations
z\s a way out of the depression, “New Zealander,” of Otaki, advocates a final debt payment between nations of 5 per cent, of the amount of their debts, the reduction of lighting forces by 75 per cent., and thp prohibition of the manufacture of war materials. “Thus,” he proceeds, “ the" money spent for these unproductive articles would flow into production. If something like this could be carried out it would bring confidence to all nations. I do not think there is one nation who would like a repetition of 1914-18, yet if war broke out —as it is sure to do if drastic steps are not taken—the last war will bp as nothing to it.”
