James to Captain Wellington CAMERON REPLACES LOWRY T. C. Lowry has notified that be will be unable to accompany the 'Wellingtou team to Auckland to take part in the I’lunket Shield match, commencing ou Friday next. The selectors have appointed K. CJames to the captaincy, and have selected D. A. Cameron (Rangitikei) to fill the vacancy caused by Lowry’s defection. The Wellingtou team will leave lor Auckland by the midday express to-mor-row. Owing to the Basin Reserve being required for an athletic meeting next Saturday, the Wellington Cricket Association lias bad to rearrange the grounds for the championship matches commenced last Saturday. The grounds for the senior matches will be announced to-morrow. The second grade games will be played as follow: — Wellington v. Hutt, commenced on Hutt No. 1, will be finished on Hutt No. 3. Kilbirnic v. Old Boys, commenced on Kelburn 1, will be finished on Anderson Bark No. 3. Hutt No. 1 and Kelburn No. l.will be used for senior games. The following are the fixtures for the twelfth round of third grade fixtures:— Hutt v. Midland B. at Hutt; Duthies v. Seatoun, Lyall Bay 3; Railways v. Brooklyn, Wakefield 4; Kilbirnie v. Midland, Kilbirnie 3; University v. Karori, Karori 8. The management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association last night granted permission for the following matches to be played on Anniversary Day Monday next) : Hutt v. Wairarapa. at Hutt; Kilbirnie v. Manawatu, at Kilbirnie; Second Grade v. Junior A, Basin Reserve; Junior Bl v. Junior 82, Basin Reserve; Junior C v. Junior D, Basin Reserve: Third Grade v. Boys’ League, at Kilbirnie.
