UPPER HUTT RATES
Facilitating Payment
The second instalment of Upper Hutt rates for the eurreut financial year is due not later than Wednesday, January 18, 1933. which is the last day upon which the 24 per cent, discount in respect of the second instalment is obtainable. To facilitate the payment of rates, the Upper Hutt Borough Council in the previous financial year made the rates payable in two instalments, the first being subject io a 5 per cent, discount if paid before a certified date, and the second being subject to a 24 per cent, discount in the same conditions. The arrangement proved successful, and has again been put in operation by the council.
