GAMES FOR JUNIORS

Here’s a simple game which I know vou’ll enjoy. It isn’t exactly Blind Man’s Buff (which is a very old game), but it Is at least a sort of cousin to that sport. We might call it BLINDFOLD FUN This game is really out of the ordin-, ary, and can be played as well indoors as out in the open, and such games are not always found at short notice. You’ll get just the jolliest fun out of it. It is a boxing match with the two “scrappers” blindfolded with handkerchiefs tied over their eyes. It is not really necessary to have boxing gloves, although the bangs are certainly toned down if you do wear gloves. But —please be careful only to use your OPEN HAND—and_ that LIGHTLY. THE SCRAPPERS The opponents having been blindfolded are now placed three feet apart facing each other, and when all is ready one of the party shouts “TIME.” Then the fun begins. Almost at once they lose touch with each other, after which they seem to have no idea in. which direction to strike out for each other. There is one thing, however, to guide them—a small tinkling bell is fastened to the leg of each of them. (Like those which are sometimes fastened on a cat’s neck.) I hope you’ll try it some evening with the whole of the family and friends for an audience. See how many bangs or smacks you can get “home”— and how many you can dodge!—with only the tinkle of a leg bell to tell you the whereabouts of your dodging and groping opponent.
