Having completed her Homeward loading to the agency of the Federal Company. the New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor-ship Otaio left Lyttelton late on, Thursday night for London. Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Cape Horn and Dakar. WAIMANA REPORTS. The Shaw, Savill Company has received a wireless message from, the Waimana. in ballast from Loudon via the Cape of Good Hope mid Sydney, reporting. that she expects to reach Lyttelton at daybreak on Monday to commence her homeward loading. She will later complete at Bluff. Wellington. Napier and Auckland. The Waimana is due here on January 18 and is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on February 2 for London. via the Panama Canal and Kingston. BENCRUACHAN SAILS. Having completed loading wool, the G. 11. Scales chartered steamer Beneruachan left Timaru on Thursday evening for Dunkirk, London, and Hull, via the Panama Canal. She took 20,687 bales of wool. TAIROA AT SYDNEY. The Shaw. Savill Company has received cabled advice that the Tairoa, in bal]«nst from London, via the Cape of Good Hope, reached Sydney yesterday morning. She is to leave there again to-morrow morning for Port Chalmers, where she is due on January 13, to commence loading for London. v NARBADA AT AUCKLAND. From Calcutta, via Penang, Singapore, and Samarang, the Union Company s chartered steamer Narbada reached Auckland yesterday morning. She is to leave there'again to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton. Timaru. Dunedin, and Bluff, to complete discharge, and is due here on Monday afternoon. RANGITATA’S MOVEMENTS. The New Zealand Shipping Company s motor-liner Rangitata is to leave AmckJand next Tuesday for Napier and n ellington. to complete her Homeward loading. She is .due here on January 14. and is scheduled to clear this port finally on January 20 for London, via the Panama Canal nnd Kingston. TONIC IN PORT. To complete her Homeward loading, the Shaw. Savill liner lonic arrived at Wellington last night from Port Chalmers. She is scheduled to clear this port finally next Wednesday afternoon for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. WAIRUNA AT AUCKLAND. The Union Company’s Wairuna is now due at Auckland at 8 a.m to-day from Los Angeles. She is to leave there again to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin.' Bluff, and Australia, to complete discharge of her Pacific Goast. cargo, and is clue here next Tuesday morning. MONOWAI LEAVES SYDNEY. . The Union Company’s liner Monowai, from Melbourne, left Sydney yesterday for Wellington. She is due here on Monday afternoon. , ■ OLD SHIPS DISMANTLED. The two steamers Wakatere and Aupouri, formerly units of the Northern Company’s fleet, have been bought by the Province Supply Company, of Auckland, to be broken up. Both have already been in the hands of shipbreakers, who have stripped them of removable fittings, and the Wakatere has been used as a hulk in the stream. The hulls are to be beached this week on St. Mary’s Bay foreshore in Beaumont Street, to be cut up for the sake of their steel plates. THE GOLDEN~:HARVEST. Cabled advice has been received that the O. and O. Line steamer Golden Harvest left Los Angeles on December 31 for Auckland. Wellington, and Australia. She is due at Auckland on January 26. and here on January 30. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. H. Tindle, chief officer of the Shell Company’s coastal tanker Paua, was recently the recipient of a presentation, as he is shortly to be married. The presentation was made on behalf of the officers and engineers of the Paua by the master Captain D. R. Paterson. The crew of the Paua' also made a presentation to Mr. Tindle.
