Martin, Wellington. are visiting Christchurch. Mr. aud Mrs. Bowden, Tokio, Japan, arc visiting Wellington. Mrs. B. Van Staveren, Kelburn, is sp.nding a holiday at Plimmerton. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Otw.uy, Wadestown, motored back on Wednesday after a holiday in Napier. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Irwin, Gisborne, are the guests of Mrs. W- G. Irwin, Timaru. .Mr. and Mrs. R. F. E. Fildes, Kelburn, returned yesterday from a visit to Timaru. Miss F. M. House and Miss L. M. Willoughby, Devonshire, are at the Empire Hotel. Mr.' and Mrs. Ernest Gillon, Wellington, who have been visiting Rotoma, are at present in Auckland. Mrs. Dixon, Mr. R. Dixon, and Miss Dixon, Oriental Bay, have returned from a motoring tour in the north. Mrs. Nicholson Miller and Miss Helen Miller, Havelock North, are visitors to Wellington. Mrs. Norman Daysh returned to Wellington from England by the Tamaroa yesterday morning, after travelling abroad for the past two years. ■Mr. and Mrs. Klelly, Hotel Cecil, returned on Wednesday after spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bidwill, Featherston. Mrs. C. V. Houghton, Parnell, Auckland, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. D. McClurg, Lower Hutt, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Ayseough, of England, is accompanying her brother, Captain Godfree, on a visit to New Zealand. They arrived by the Tamaroa yesterday. Mrs. IL W. Gibbs, of Nelson, returned to New Zealand by the Tamaroa yesterday morning, after a visit to England and Scotland. Miss Ruth I-litehings will return tomorrow from Christchurch and Picton, and will be with Mrs. D. Hitchings, Wadestown. Mrs. Richard Irving arrived from England by the Tamaroa yesterday, and left last night for Albury, South Canterbury. Mrs. Keith Stewart, Colombo, who Is with Mrs. H. AV. Wellington, returned from England by the Tamaroa yesterday. Her daughter. Miss Molly Plimmer, spent Christmas and New Year in Washington, and after her visit there intended to return to London. Mrs. lan MaeEwtin, Auckland, who has been staying with Mrs. J. P>. MaeEwan, Fitzherbert Terrace, is spending a few days with Mrs. Anthony Fitzherbert, at Palmerston North, before returning north. Lord and Lady Latymer, of Sliiploi: Lodge. Shipton-under-Wychwood, England, are due to arrive in Wellington from Sydney on February 20. and will leave for Pembroke a day or two later. Lord and Lady Latymer visited New Zealand last year, when they did some stalking in tin- South Island.
