Brigade’s Desperate Fight Brussels, Dec. 21. Three fire brigades took an hour to subdue a Are at King Albert’s magnificent palace and fought desperately to prevent the llames spreading to the salon, where there are many historic treasures. The city’s entire police force was sent to control thousands of onlookers. The Are destroyed the oak beams of the dome and the supporting girders. ________________
