Used to Get Married ARRESTED ON HONEYMOON By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Dee. 22. Arrested at a seaside resort while on his honeymoon, Ernest Henry Ricketts, aged 50, a motor driver, will spend the next two months in Mount Eden Gaol. The police said that accused, while staying at the boardinghouse of a man named White, got a moneylender out to the house, and by representing himself as Mr. White and owner of the furniture, obtained £B. He got married on the £B. The probation officer said that accused’s practice was to get into touch with clergymen. They found him jobs, and he let them down. He deserted a former wife in Christchurch some years ago. Counsel said the bride was prepared to stick to accused.
