Commonwealth Wool Report MR. BRUCE’S ASSURANCE (Received Nov. 17, 7.55 p.m.). London, Nov. 17. The Australian Minister in London, Mr. Stanley Bruce, is visiting Bradford. Speaking at a luncheon given by the Federation of British Industries, he gave an assurance that no foolish action would be taken by Australia on the Commonwealth Wool Committee’s report. The Government would not be a party to any wild schemes for creating an artificial position and excessive prices which would eventually react on Australia. He also emphasised that the Commonwealth’s tariff policy was solely due to financial, not fiscal, considerations and the necessity of meeting external obligations. ______
