More people entered Britain than left it, for the first time on record in the twelve months ended March of this year. In that period there wereJ7,lol emigrants as compared with 136,<44 in W—l. rile little county of Hertford has beaten all the others, except Surrey and Middlesex, in the rate of its growth. Census returns issued a few weeks ago show that, since 1921, the population has increased bv 68,011, or 20.4 per cent.
