—— ... . Japanese versus Volunteers (Received Nov. 13, 6.30 p.m.) ‘ Shanghai, Nov. 12. The Japanese military authorities have launched an intensive drive aiming at suppression of the so-called volunteers, really troops of the former Manchurian war lord, Chang Hsuehliang. The Japanese are reported to have sustained heavy losses on the field of battle, apart from numerous explosions in aeroplane hangars and munition plants,..and other disasters.
