MARCH ON ROME
Fascism Triumphant DECENNARY PARADE Magnificent New Thoroughfare By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Rec. Oct 30, 5.5 p.m.) Rome, Oct 29. The decennary of the Fascist march on Rome was triumphantly celebrated under the brilliant leadership of nor Mussolini to-day. Behind Mussolini Fascist cohorts marched through dense cheering crowds to open the Via di Colli as a Street of Empire. It is supposed to be Europe’s finest thoroughfare, and has been reconstructed after the demolition of hundreds of houses. Thirteen thousand war-wounded vet-
erans participated in the parade, over which aeroplanes flew. Signor Mussolini and General Balbo, with Ministers, led the procession to the Unknown Warriors Tomb, where
three thousand children chanted hymns. The proceedings terminated with a peal of bells. The new thoroughfares now being constructed are a portion of a grandiose plan requiring thirty years to execute and extending Rome four miles towards the hills and sea.
