City and Suburban League The first series of second round games was played this week tn the City and Suburban Billiard and Snooker League. Keen interest was shown, and there wera some close finishes. Following are tha 'and Telegraph (10) beat Kilbirnie (6); Brooklyn (15) beat Miramar (1); City (9) beat Queens (7): Midland (9) I)Ca J Alpha (7); National Club (11) beat Island Bay (5); Lvall Bay (10) beat Y.M.C.A. («»; Empire (S) drew with Victory (8). The following arc the games m the second series of the second round; borne teams mentioned first:— Post and Telegraph v. Kilbirnie; Island Bay v. National Club; Midland v. Alpha; Miramar v. Brooklyn; Empire v. Victory; Y.M.C.A. V. Lyall Bay: City v. Queens. The games will be played on Thursday, next.
