ANTI-DUMPING SURCHARGE
Possibility of Abolition (Rec. October 27, 5.5 p.m.) Official Wireless. Rugby, Oct. 26. Questioned in the House of Commons regarding the Canadian Government’s attitude toward the anti-dump-ing surcharge based on the rate of exchange, the Dominions Secretary, Mr. J. 11. Thomas, said that sympathetic consideration had been promised to the possibility of reducing if not wholly abolishing the duty insofar as it applied to imports to the United Kingdom.
