NAVAL CANDIDATES
Proof of Good Character AUTHORITIES INSISTENT Candidates for the Navy must give evidence of the best character before their applications are considered. The naval authorities stated yesterday that under no circumstances would they consider an application from a person who had been convicted in a criminal court. The statement was made on account of a recent message from Greymoutu dealing with a report of a Police Court ease. It was stated that “efforts will be made meanwhile to get. accused into the Navy to obtain desirable discipline.”
