Motor Club Committee COUNCILLOR CANDIDATES Voting papers will be needed at the annual general meeting of the Wellington Automobile Club, for 22 candidates will present themselves for election as committeemen, and -only ten are required. Five of tbe members nominated for office on tbe committee are members of the City Council. The nominations received are as follow, the asterisk denoting sifting member-Messrs. AV. Appleton, *E. A. Batt, W. H. Bennett. J. Burns, F. M. Clarke, E. H. de J. Clere, »A. J. Curtis, W. Duncan, AV. J. Gaudin, *G. D. Hamilton, E. P. Hay, H. P. Hopkins, D. J. McGowan, *E. Paliiser, *J. H. Graham Robertson, R. R. Scott, *H. AV. Shortt, G. Springhall, *A. J. Toogood, C. A. L. Treadwell, and *A. L. Warburton. The five City Councillors seeking office are Councillors AV. Appleton, AV. 11. Bennett. J. Burns, AV. Duncan and AV. J. Gaudin. A proposal will be made to make Mr. I. V. Wilson a life member of the club. A point for discussion at the meeting will be a suggestion to amend the rules to provide that after 1933 four members only .should retire annually from the committee. The object of this, it is understood, is to ensure greater continuity of policy.
