YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Tropical Shower in Wellington The weather in Wellington yesterday was bright and sunny until midafternoon, when the sky clouded over and rain commenced to fall. It rained Lightly until about 6.30 in the evening, when a tropical shower fell which lasted for about half an hour. Light rain continued throughout the evening.. There was little wind. A boisterous north-east wind was blowing at Auckland yesterday morning. and a change of wind to the north at mid-day was followed by heavy showers, which ceased early in the evening, when the wind again changed to the south-w'est. The weather at Christchurch was dull but warm and the wind was variable. At 6 p.m. a slant of the wind to the south-west brought rain, which continued but lightly. The maximum temperature was 65 degrees.
Variable weather was experienced at Dunedin. Dull and overcast conditions in tho morning were succeeded by light rain which commenced to fall before midday. A light breeze from the south-west was blowing.
