Jockey Club’s Secretary MISSING MONEY Arrested at Auckland. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Sept. 22. Arrested, iu the city this afternoon, Frederick Deuchar McVay, until recently secretary of the Takapuna Jockey Club, appeared later in the Police court before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., on two charges of theft. He was charged with stealing from the club £-04/o/10 be tween July 1, 1931, and June 20, 193-, and also with stealing £9 on June 1, 1932. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant McHugh, accused was remanded until Monday. . Counsel for accused said he did not intend to ask for bail. On Monday accused would plead guilty to all the charges and would facllitate the case.
