Australia’s Subsidy Burden Melbourne, September 6. Referring to the burden of subsidising internal air mail services and to the inauguration of a service between England and Australia, the PostmasterGeneral, Mr. J. E. Fenton, said that he thought It preferable to have a large national oversea air mail service. /Tills could be run at little more than wbat they were paying for various internal subsidised services, which competed with train and steamer services.
