Ministerial. The Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, Prime Minister, presided over a meeting of Cabinet yesterday afternoon. He was engaged with members of the Ministry until a late hour. The Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Lands, will leave on an official visit to parts of his electorate—Pahiatua—-to-day. He will return to Wellington oh Monday. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture and Mines, who is visiting the West Coast, will return to Wellington on Sunday morning. Mr. E. C. Hands, general manager of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, left for Auckland last evening. Colonel J, Pow, secretary to the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, who left for Nelson on Wednesday afternoon, is expected back in Wellington by the end of the week. The Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, will arrive in Wellington this morning to preach at the Dedication Festival of St. Paul’s Pro-Cathe-dral on Sunday evening. He will also preach at St. Thomas’s, Newtown, on Sunday morning. Mr. G. Fuller, of the City Corporation Electricity Department, who has retired after 29 years’ service, was farewelled by the head office staff at a gathering on Saturday. Mr. M. Cable, the general manager, presented Mr. Fuller with a travelling rug and other articles on behalf of the staff, and referred to Mr. Fuller’s long and faithful career in the service. Mr. E. B. Moore, of Nelson; Mr. F. Meredith and Mr. J. L. Hobbs, Dunedin ; Mr. W. J. Dixon, London; nd Captain R. C. Hammond, Auckland, are at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. F. Marshall, Mr, G. Anderson, and Mr. S. Mair, of Christchurch; Mr. K. J. Fulton, Dunedin; Mr. E. Tong, Masterton, and Dr. Lambert, Suva, are at the Hotel St. George. Mr. Colin K. Dalgleish, of Melbourne;'Mr. J. Frew, Mr. A. E. McPhail and Mr. W. Seed, Christchurch; Mr. H. E. Wedde, Oamaru; Mr. K. Styche, Dunedin; Mr. W. Craddock, Westport; Mr. J. McLeod and Mr. A. Neilson, New Plymouth, are at the Grand Hotel.
