MORE SINCLAIR LEWIS
A SECOND aftermath has developed out of Sidney Howard’s adaptation of the Sinclair Lewis novel, “Arrowsmith,” as a starring vehicle for Ronald Colman. The first, of course, was that out of his interest in medicine in connection with the picture, Howard wrote the play. “Yellow Jacket,” based on the yellow fever epidemic in Cuba after the Spanish-American War. It is announced for September production on Broadway, aud will later come to England. The second result is that after having explored the dramatic possibilities of “Arrowsmith,” Howard is now at work adapting another Sinclair Lewis story, “Dodsworth,” first as a play and possibly later as a screen play. So far, “Dodsworth” is the only Sinclair Lewis story not to reach the screen, excepting “Elmer Gantry,” which Mr. Lewis says is immune because of its subject matter.
