ANNUAL CONCERT

Wellington Tech. College Well-sung choruses, clever dances, humorous burlesques, and good music were some of the items presented last night by the Wellington Technical College at its annual concert given in the Concert Chamber. The whole concert was a great success, and reflected credit on the directors and all who contributed to the programme. Two little plays were given, “Birds of a Feather,” by J. Francis, and a scene from the brilliant and witty farce, “The Importance of Being Earnest,” by Oscar Wilde. The school orchestra played “War March of the Priests” from “Athaiie,” by Mendelssohn, and “Unfinished Symphony” (Theme), Schubert. The Boys’ Choir sang several very delightful numbers, including “Come to the Fair,” “Wi’ a Hundred Pipers,” “Hunting Chorus,” and “Blue Danube.” The Girls’ Choir also chose some successful numbers, which Included: “Passing By,” . “Drink to Me Ohly,” “Turn Ye to Me,” “All Through the Night,” The Pastoral Burlesque, “The Lost Heiress," caused much merriment, and was very well put on. A Dutch dance and some advanced exercises were two interesting contributions.
