Leading scores are: — Whitton and Nettlefold, 73, 80: Apperby and Bettington, 78, 78; Williams and Rymill, 79, 78; McKay and Hattersley, 76, 83; Morpeth and Ryan, 81. 78; Hayward and McLachlan, 79, 81; Horton and Tomi 76, 86; Wlaser and Lemanu, 83, 80. McMahon, the South Australian hope for the open, won the professional championship with rounds of 74 and 72. .Harvey scored 77 and 78.
