HOME FOR A DOG

Tail-Wagger Offering Some weeks ago a stray dog sought out a comfortable refuge in a shed on Pipitea Wharf, and there six puppies were born. The Tall-Waggers’ Club took charge of the parent and litter. The pups thrived, and have now been placed in the charge of various people. The club is now endeavouring to find a home for the female dog. She has been named

"pipitea,” and the club has deemed her sagacity sufficient to merit her election as the first honorary member in the roll of nearly 1000 dogs. The secretary of the club said yesterday that this dog' had proved a most attentive parent. She was one of the best-natured dogs which had come into possession of the club. It any lover of animals would give this dog a home, assurance could be given that this former stray would deserve the kindness.
