LEVIN MEMORIAL HOME

Miss Archibald presided at the monthly meeting of the Levin Memorial Home on Tuesday. There were also present Mrs. Stace, Mrs. Eldowney, Mrs. Willoughby, Mrs. Poole, Mrs. Gillespie, Miss Morrah, Miss Barry, Miss Young, Miss McLeod. The matron reported that there were twenty-eight children in the home, all being very well. The committee thanked the Smith Family and Paramount Picture Theatre manager for invitation for twenty-five children to the pictures on Saturday morning, July 30; the Juvenile Concert League for invitation to concert on Friday, July 29; also Mr. Yates for soup bones weekly; Hawke’s Bay Fisheries, fish weekly; Mrs. Stace, oranges; St. Cuthbert’s social, jelly; St. Cuthbert’s Boys’ Bible Class social, cakes and buns; Miss Lindsay, £l/1/-; Miss McLeod. 10/-.
