Charge Against Tarrant FINAL REMAND GRANTED The police, having completed their investigations in connection with the murder of James Flood, at Picton on November 3, 1931, are now ready to proceed with the preliminary hearing of the evidence against Edward Tarrant, who has been charged with the murder. The hearing will start at Blenheim on August 23. Tarrant, who has been in custody in Wellington since his arrest at Plctoa some months ago, has appeared several times in the Police Court and been remanded on each occasion. When he appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., yesterday, he was finally remanded to appear at Blenheim on August 23.
