ABDUCTED A GIRL
Year’s Gaol as Penalty Dominion Special Service. Sentence of twelve mouths’ imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on William Thorudon Bond Procter, a labourer, aged 21 years, by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., In the Police Court this morning, when he pleaded guilty to abducting an unmarried girl under the age of IS years from her home without her parents’ consent and for an unlawful purpose. Senior-Sergeant Whitehouse said this was the second occasion accused had taken the girl away. They had been discovered in a deserted flax cottage about 12 miles from Foxton, where they had spent the week-end together.
