Eastbourne Hawaiian Ball Result Mrs. Jowett presided at the monthly meeting of the Eastbourne Plunket Committee held on Thursday afternqoii In the Eastbourne Council Chambers.. There were present Mesdames Fisher, Hoggard, Burch, Kent, Rockstrow, Andrews, Haughton, Bourne, Richards, Webb, McGill, Mather, jun., Short, and Mrs. Girdlestone, secretary. Appologies were received from Mesdames Isaacs, Robinson, Wise, Heenan. Mather, sen., Orchard, and Miss B; Heywood. The result of the Hawaiian Ball, organised by Mrs. Jowett, was announced as £5B net, and was received with applause. This brings tlie returns 50 far for the year to £lOB. Hearty votes of thanks were passed to all those who contributed so lavishly toward the supper, and to the following who assisted so generously In various ways toward making the ball a success:—Miss Stace and Miss Ivol Heywood, and Messrs. Fisher, Moore, Gillespie, Dick, Walling, Jervis, Hearne, Roland, Laws, Griffiths, Robertson, the Mariana Quartet, and local Ukulele .Boys.
