CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT
“Youth for Youth” Campaign A “Youth for Youth” campaign, which will be held from September 4 to 18, will take the form of,a simultaneous effort on the part of fourteen different Christian youth organisations of the city, including the young men’s and young women’s Bible class 1 movements of the Anglican, Baptist, Congregational, Church of Christ, Methodist, and Presbyterian denominations, the Salvation Army, Y.M.C.A., Y.W.C.A., and Student Christian Movement. These organisations are at present engaged in a period of intensive preparation which will culminate in the opening of the campaign period in the Town Hall on September 4. Various movements participating will bring special speakers to Wellington for the occasion. The object of the effort, in addition to demonstrating the essential Christian unity of the various organisations, will be to present to the youth of the community the challenge of Christ, and to win them to Christian allegiance Each movement will carry out its work in its own way, and in accordance with Its own approved methods. The whole will be co-ordinated in an advisory way through the medium of the Wellington Christian Youth Council, of which'Mr. M. A. Tremewan is the president, and Mr. Len. J. Greenberg, of the Y.M.C.A., is honorary secretary.
