Interprovincial Rugby GOLF, HOCKEY, SOCCER Altogether twelve members of the New Zealand Rugby football team will be seen In action to-day, when the representative match between Auckland and Wellington will be played at Athletic Park. Two strong teams have been chosen by Messrs. J. N. Millard and F. E. Sutherland, sole selectors for Wellington and Auckland respectively. Particular interest always attaches to the meeting of these teams, and today’s match will also serve as a useful guide to form in view of Wellington's forthcoming southern tour, the first match of which, providing Canterbury still hold the trophy, will be for the Ranfurly Shield. The teams are as follow:— WBI/LINGTON. JMlburne; Ball, Macdonald, Fuller; Pollock, Page: Kilby; McLean; Reid. Martin, McPherson, Barry, Diedrich, Lambourne, Emergencies.—TindiU, Killeen, Neal, Quald, Damason. AUCKLAND. Full back. Heazlewood; three-quarters, Milliken, Caughey, Pearson; five-eighths, Cornthwaite, Jamieson; half-back, Corner; forwards, Solomon, Hadley (captain), Kahu, Stone, Batty, Finlayson, Palmer, Newdick. Association Football The semi-final of the Auld Memorial will be played at the Basin Reserve to-day, when Diamonds and Marist will meet on No. 1 ground and Watersiders and Petone on the other ground. The match between Petone and Watersiders Is sure to provide an exciting game. There will be two curtain-raisers. Men’s Hockey. Matches in the men’s section of the Wellington Hockey Association’s championships will be continued to-day. In the senior A grade, at Karori Park, Varsity will meet Wesley, and Karori, Y.M.C.A. Hutt will oppose Wellington at the Hutt Recreation Ground. Women’s Hockey. The two leading senior A women’s hockey teams, College Old Girls and Hutt, will meet at Newtown Park this afternoon at 3 o’clock. This game, which will practically decide the championship, should provide one of the best exhibitions of hockey seen this season. Other matches to be decided at Newtown are: Swifts v. Varsity, 2 p.m., and Ramblers v. Wenerei, 3 p.m., in the senior A grade, and Toa v. Swifts, 2 p.m., in the senior B competition. Training College play Karori at Karori Park. In the senior B grade Upper Hutt meet College Old Girls at Karori Park, Technical Old Girls play Hutt at Hutt, and Hospital play Eastbourne at Hospital. Junior matches will, as usual, be played at Tanera Orescent, Woburn, and Petone. Amateur Road Cycling. Members of the Poneke Amateur .Cycling Club will take part in a 23-mile time trial at Kilbirnie this afternoon. Harriers. The three remaining harrier club championships will be held to-day. The Scottish Harriers will hold their event at the Hutt Park. Lyall Bay will be the scene of the Varsity and Presbyterian championships. The remaining clubs will continue their weekly outings excepting the Olympic harriers, who will stage a three-mile teams’ race for the Philp Shield at Miramar.
