NEW OUTBREAK
Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Rec. August 4, 8.30 p.m.) London, August 4. Foot-and-mouth disease has been discovered on a farm in Worcestershire. Only two cows and one pig are affected, but by an unfortunate coincidence the outbreak was confirmed on the day fixed for the lifting of the Canadian embargo. As a result hundreds of head of stock prepared for export cannot be moved until sixty days after the new outbreak has been extinguished.
