MODEL AEROPLANES
Club’s Successful Year “Considering that when we started we knew nothing' about model building, the year has been a very successful one,” said Mr. R. F. Hill, president of the Wellington Model Aeroplane Club, at the first annual meeting •on Wednesday. “Anybody who saw the models will agree that we have bounded ahend.” Mr. Hill thought it very satisfactory that all the Winter Show prizes, with one exception, had been won by members of the dub. The other cup had gone to Westport. Cups won by the competitors at the Winter Show were presented nnd it was announced that Mr. C. A. Philpott had won the Air League Prize for the best scale construction model; It was decided to hold an exhibition, the details to be decided upon by the new committee. The election of officers resulted: —President, Mr. R. F. Hill; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. D. Campbell; committee, Messrs. H. L. Mallitte,' C. A. Philpott, R. F. Adams, and E. R. McNamara.
