ALL-IN-ONE FROCK
Morning and Evening Dominion Special Service. (By Mavis.) London, June 1. With life becoming more and more hectic, even for those who used to be known as “the idle rich,” fashion experts have been obliged to concentrate their art upon devising models which, with slight modification, will serve for more than one gathering. , Their latest efforts in this direction have produced a model in which we may go to Ascot, attend a cocktail party, and on to dine and dance without changing. All that has to be done is a little simple subtraction —as hat, coatee, scarf, collar, and gloves are successively removed, the frock becomes a perfect model for each function and a few judicious touches from our vanity case do the rest. At one West End dress show this week the designer had gone even further, He was showing a delightful “pinafore” style frock for morning wear which, merely by removing the blouse, could be turned at a moment’s notice into a lovely evening frock.
