ROUND CUSHION
Pattern from Reader Another pattern of a round cushion which has been kindly supplied by one of “The Dominion’s” readers is as follows: — ■ , . , This pattern is worked in garter stitch and takes seven skeins of wool, three pink, three green, and one black. Use No. 9 needles. Cast on 72 stitches in black, knit 4 rows garter stitch, join on green wool. First row: Knit 68 green, 4 black. Second row: Knit 4 black, 68 green. Third row: Knit 64 green. Fourth row: Knit 64 green. Fifth row: Knit 60 green. Continue working this way four less every alternate row, until you have knitted the last four. Join on black, knit four more, rows garter stitch, then join on pink, continue working in the same way, always keeping the four black at the .top. Work this pattern until you have a circle (about 20 altogether). Join up one side. Finish centre with crochet flowers.
