Mr. and Mrs. R. Le Pine,. Napier, are on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. C. H. Gerard, Orari, has returned home after a visit to Wellington. Mrs. I. Smith, Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alister McKillop, Christchurch. Mrs. Algar Williams, Featherston, and Mrs. J. C. Rolleston, Te Kuiti, are guests at the Midland Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. Vogel, Lower Hutt, will be among Wellington visitors to Christchurch for the races. Mrs. Millen Macbeth, Wellington, has left for Christchurch to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs., T. B. Richards. Mr. and Mrs. H. O’Donnell, who have been staying in Wellington, left on Wednesday night for Auckland, en route for England. Miss Constance Rothwell and her brother, Mr. Frank Rothwell, Taranaki, aree visiting their parents, Rongotai Terrace. *"■ Miss Margaret Miles, Wellington, and Miss Peggy James, Masterton,' will leave to-night to spend race week in Christchurch. Miss Jessie Elliott, of Wellington, is paying a visit to Cheviot this week as the guest of the Misses Bertha and Jessie Forbes. Mr. and. Mrs. J. C. Rolleston, Te Kuiti, are at present in Wellington, and are staying at the Midland Hotel. Lady Hosking, who has been staying with her son in North Canterbury, is at present in Christchurch, and will return shortly to Wellington. A most enjoyable afternoon was given by Mrs. J. Robinson and Miss L. Robinson, of Beach Road, Foxton, on Tuesday in honour of Miss Z. Patchett, who is to be married, shortly. The afternoon was enjoyably spent in various competitions.
