COPPER TRAIL
For Needy of Berhampore The Berhampore Inter-church Belief of Distress Committee is faced with the problem of providing for over ninety applicants, who present themselves at the depot for weekly rations of food. Seven careases of mutton are cut up and distributed with vegetables, bread, and other goods, but funds for carrying on the work are running low. Now that Island Bay has been separated from Berhampore, and made a district of its own, the Berhampore committee lias been strengthened by representatives from the School, Home and School Kindergarten and St, Vincent De Paul Committees, and special efforts are being made witli the object of raising funds. Arrangements are in hand for the holding of a copper trail to-morrow afternoon, the trail being laid in Kintool and Luxford Streets and Adelaide Road. In the vicinity of Athletic Park. The committee for this • effort are having the assistance of the school children and Sunday school pupils, and as an Important match is being played at the park the committee make an urgent appeal to ail visitors to contribute liberally to the fund, and any ladies or gentlemen willing to assist are asked to report at the Baptist Church, Rlntoul Street, at 1 p.m.
