England’s Rugby League Win TWO MEN ORDERED OFF By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, August 4. The English Rugby League team outclassed South Auckland at Taupiri today ; they led by 26 points to 5 at halftime and finished with a score of 64 points to South Auckland’s 11. Heavy rain showers marred the playing conditions, and the attendance was 2000. The teams were: — England.—Sullivan, EUaby, Pollard, Atkinson, Woods, Davis, Adams, Williams, Wright, Fender, White, Horton and Fe Som“Auckland.-Tlttleton. Smith, Tittleton, Abbott, Meniiea. Peckham, Knight, Hogan, Stephenson, Mason, Mcßurme, Laird and Timms. G. Tittleton goaled early from a free kick given to South Auckland. The visitors heeled from a scrum and Adams sent to Wright, who crossed. Sullivan goaled. EUaby put in a great run from his own line, but went into touch, otherwise a score was certain. From the immediate scrum Davis fed Atkinson, who scored near the corner. Sullivan missed the goal At this stage Stephensbn and Williams were ordered off. With England on the attack White intercepted and ran through the twenty-five to score under the posts. Sullivan goaled. Another passing bout saw Atkinson score, but Sullivan’s kick missed. South Auckland attacked and Abbott sent Timms over. G. Tittleton missed the kick. England increased their lead when Woods scored after a fine run. Sullivan converted. A few minutes later Atkinson scored, Sullivan converting. England led by 26 points to 5 at halftime. The second spell had not been long in progress before Adams sent to White, who scored for England. Sullivan goaled. South Auckland launched a hot attack which terminated In Smith scoring. G. Tittleton’s kick failed. In short order EUaby, Davis, Pollard (2), Atkinson and Fender scored for England, Sullivan converting five of the tries. South Auckland had another temporary period on attack, Timms topping off the movement with a try. The kick failed. Just on time EUaby pierced the defence, Sullivan adding the extra points. Sullivan, in addition to his consistent goal-kicking, was always reliable, with Atkinson, EUaby and Woods other good vsitlng backs. The forwards were an even lot Abbott and Smith were the best South Auckland backs, and Mcßurnle and Timms consistent forwards.
