WRONG NUMBER-PLATES

A fine of £2 was imposed by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., at the Lower Hutt Police Court yesterday on Ronald Norman McKerdry, who was charged with affixing incorrect number-plates to a motor vehicle. Defendant, who did not appear, was also convicted and discharged on charges of using wrong number-plates and not having a third-party insurance risk. Sergeant J. W. McHolm said that the charges arose out of a recent accident in which defendant was involved. Defendant, who, he understood, was out of the district, was a single man in. poor circumstances.
