Butter Prices Steady CHEESE MARKET FIRMER The New Zealand Producers’ Co-opera-tive Marketing Association’s weekly cabled market report from London, dated August 2, is as followsßutter: Market steady. ' New Zealand, 104/- to 106/-; Danish, 110/-. Cheese: Market is firmer, but buyers not willing to operate. New Zealand, white, 57/- to 58/-; coloured, 55/- to 56/-. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received the following market report from Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, dated August 2: —New Zealand butter, nominally 106/- per cwt. Market quiet. New Zealand cheese, white, 57/58/- per cwt.; coloured, 55/56/-. Market firm. FOREIGN EXCHANGES Position of Sterling London, August 2. The following rates on foreign exchanges were current , to-day as compared with quotations on July 31 and par:—

The colony of Fiji has floated a 4. per cent loan in London of £BO,OOO at a premium of 2 per cent. It is portion of a Public Works 'loan of £160,000.
