PERUVIAN REVOLT
Forty-four Men Shot Lima, August 1. The Peruvian Government announced to-day that forty-four men were executed last Wednesday at Truxill for participating in the revolt there early last month. The men, convicted at a court-martial, were taken out and lined up on the trenches which they themselves had dug around the city, and shot. A hundred and one have been condemned to death, but fifty-seven have not yet been taken into custody.
