Attempt on Endurance Record *" London, August L Mrs. Victor Bruce, accompanied by her husband, ascended from the Solentin a giant three-engined amphibian, the City of Portsmouth, in an attempt to defeat the endurance record of twenty-three days, hoping to remain in the air a month. She descended an hour later on account of an electrical short circuit.
