The competition was judged by Mr. O. C. Mazengarb, M.A„ LL.M., who placed Miss M. Kearney first and Mr. R. Goldstein second. In announcing his decision, Mr. Mazengarb gave some useful advice to the competitors, and thanked the society for honouring him by asking him to judge the competition. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Mazengarb for acting as adjudicator, and for his helpful criticism. Prior to the commencement of the competition, the president referred to the recent death of one of the members of the society, Mr. H. L. Hindmarsh. A motion of sympathy with Mr. Hindmarsh’s relatives was passed, those present standing in silence.
