SOCIAL ITEMS

Miss Margaret Livingstone, of Dunedin, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. T. G. Anderson, Wellington, is at present on a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Bolland, Wellington, are visiting Christchurch. Miss A. Thompson, Christchurch, is staying in Wellington and is at the Midland Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Dwan, of Wellington, returned by the Zealandia yesterday from Sydney. Mrs. F. Porter, Wellington, who has been on a tour of the North Island, has returned home.

Mrs. J. Smith, Wellington, has left for Christchurch to visit her daughter, Mrs. Allster McKillop, Lincoln Road. Miss Vigor Brown, Napier, passed through Wellington en route for Christchurch on Saturday. Mrs. C. Elgar, who has been, staying at the Midland Hotel, has returned to Featherston.

Mrs. J. A. Henderson, of Lyall Bay, who has been visiting Mrs, Tom Peet at Tinui, Masterton, has i-eturned home. Mrs. Goodall and her small daughter, who have been the guests of Mrs. W. Cain, Chertsey, Canterbury, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. Edgar Hazlett, Dunedin, left Wellington last night with her husband, Mr. Hazlett, who arrived from Sydney yesterday. Mrs. R. Hudson, senr., Dunedin, and her daughter, Mrs. A. Hanlon, who motored to Christchurch And passed through Wellington on their way north, returned home at the week-end.

Miss Rosamund Harper, of Wellington, who has been visiting in South Canterbury, will be the guest of Mrs. F. H./Brittan, Avonside, Christchurch; next week. Mr. K. B. McClellan, accompanied by Mrs. McClellan, has left for Lyttelton, ehi route for the Chatham Islands, where Mr. McClellan is taking up an appointment with the Education De- . partment.
