Secretaries of clubs are reminded that the entries for the Osmond and Ladies' Shield matches close with the' association secretary on August 10. The matches will take place the following' week. General. A visit was made to the Brooklyn range last Saturday evening. A dance was in progress. The excellent music by Mrs. O’Sullivan, the capable management’by the. master of ceremonies, Mr. Cunningham, the delectable supper provided by .the Brooklyn Club ladies, and the' informality and sociability of all present made the evening a most enjoyable one. These functions are held fortnightly, and ar« well worth a visit. On a perusal of the scores made by teamsmen In inter-club competitions one is struck with the rernarkable form of Mr. K. H. Nicholl (Harbour Board), who for sheer merit is a veritable marvel. He has dropped merely one. point in six shoots. Another marksman whose consistency is without parallel is Mr. J. T. Klug (Karori). who has scored in all his matches six consecutive sixty-nines, and’it is a remarkable coincidence that in 1930 he did exactly the same thing. One hopes bis "luck” will some day change. Most of bls nines have ben doubtful -‘bulls.” Next Bound of Matches. Intermediate Grade —Last Round. August 15—P.W.M.C. versus Hutt.
