Jews Support Catholic Party GERMAN ELECTIONS (Rec. July 28, 7 p.m.) Berlin, July 28. It is understood that the Jewish vote in the elections on Sunday will go to the Catholic centre which the Jews regard as the only party capable by numbers and Influence to keep the antisemitism,. of the Hitlerites in check. Correspondents appear unanimous that Herr Hitler will not have an absolute majority. The election campaign is being_conducted with extreme ferocity in posters and cartoons in the newspapers. The Nazis vilify their opponents and the Communists and Socialists retort in such a way as to suggest that the Nazis are semi-bestial creatures who spend their time terrorising the people and committing murders. Herr Hitler is touring the country. by aeroplane, and everywhere drawing monster audiences.
